Westfield real estate, along with the rest of Hamilton County, has seen explosive growth in the past few years. Until recently, Westfield was considered a bedroom community with little commercial activity. All that has changed and Westfield has experienced both commercial and residential growth. Westfield real estate is very diverse and offers something for everyone; from small affordable condos, to a home in the traditional styled Centennial, or a large custom home.

Westfield is located in north-central Hamilton County, just 30 minutes north of Indianapolis. Westfield was founded in 1834 by Asa Bales, Ambrose Osborne, and Nathan Parker all of whom were Quakers from North Carolina and it is widely believed that Westfield was planned as a stop for the Underground Railroad.
Westfield has recently experienced a growth in population and is one of the main reasons that Hamilton County is of the fastest growing counties is the nation. Westfield is home to an award winning School Corporation with a technology academy that is nationally recognized.

There were 29 homes that sold in December 2007 on the Westfield Indiana real estate market with an average selling price of $194,665. The average home took 84 days to sell and received 96% of the asking price. December 2006 had 38 homes sell with an average selling price of $226,955. The average home in 2006 took 80 days to sell and received 98% of the asking price. The average home that sold on the Westfield real estate market was down 14% in December 2007.
While the number of homes sold in Westfield does seem to on par with statistics in other parts of Indianapolis, the 14% decrease in sales price appears to be quite an anomoly. The year to date numbers show that is very unusal and probably resulting from a few skewed numbers and the fact that only 29 homes closed.
